I would not recommend this book to anyone. It is not the way you should train or lift weights. I do not mean that “Squat Every Day” is a bad protocol. It’s tough! I agree! But more than that, my approach was flawed. I wasn’t resting enough. In between, I introduced other protocols. I was popping analgesics and did a host of other incorrect things.
Nevertheless, I request you to read this book. But why? You might ask.
For one thing, this book tells you about your mind’s and body’s capabilities. Reading the book, you will discover how you can tame them, turning them into partners to help you achieve your goals.
More than “Squat Every Day,” this book is about you, and even if you are not into weight training, it will create a mindset that will lead you towards success.
Excerpts From The Book
“Can you give up breathing? Can your heart give up its beating? Can mind stop thinking? It’s our efforts that make us. Rest everything is death.”
“Don’t listen to the mind. It will deceive you. Is possessive about you. Go beyond it. Step out of your comfort zone. Though reluctant, it will follow you and help you reach your potential.”
“You confront you in the mirror that’s all over the place. No corner to hide. No opportunity to run away. Stare. Laugh. Cry. Weep. Give up. Whatever. But remember one thing – don’t walk away. Use the mind to penetrate the mind. Like Siddhartha before he became Buddha.”
“The challenge is not just to Squat Every Day. But also to keep your sanity intact – working through the day to earn your living; reading and writing and putting up with your boss.”
